Miranda Acosta, AMFT #161618
Welcome! I’m Miranda, a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, and I want to invite you to our therapy office. I support young children, adolescents, parents, and families through sudden life transitions, traumatic losses, behavioral obstacles, school struggles, and relationship repairs.
I believe in establishing a safe therapeutic space built on compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. The therapeutic space is one where clients can feel empowered and welcome to explore any of life’s experiences.
I utilize a combination of therapeutic approaches that are customized to best fit the needs and goals of my clients. I work with my clients and their families to collaboratively set therapeutic goals and help them find their inherent resilience and empowerment. My practices include talk therapy based in compassion-focused CBT (cognitive-behavioral therapy), mindfulness and self-care, art therapy techniques, sand tray therapy techniques, and play therapy techniques for all ages.
Please feel free to schedule a no-cost 20-minute consultation with me so that I can answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process and see if we are a good fit together.
I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #161618) currently working with the licensed supervision of Dr. Jessica O’Connor (LMFT #102163).
