A message from Debbie:
I’m so glad you reached out. Therapy is a gift of dedicated time and space—an opportunity to slow down, get to know yourself better, and discover what supports you and the life you want. I often think of therapy as slowing the movie reel of life: pausing to zoom in and out, explore with intention, and leave feeling better than when you arrived. Over time, this deeper self-understanding helps you do more of what works for you.
With children, therapy looks like play. Play creates a space where your child’s only responsibility is to have fun, while my focus is solely on them. Through games and activities, I observe how children engage, interact, and express their inner experiences. Together, we explore feelings, body awareness, and coping strategies in a natural, supportive way. Parents are integral to this process, and we work collaboratively to practice strategies at home, building on what best supports your child and family.
With teens, I aim to offer a grounded, nonjudgemental space to reflect, grow, and navigate life authentically. With adults, my role is that of a fellow traveler—walking alongside you as you learn more about yourself and how to support your needs. Through attentive listening and clarifying questions, we slow things down to notice patterns, shift perspective, and open up new possibilities.
At the heart of my work is being human first. My life roles as parent, partner, daughter, and friend inform my practice as deeply as my education, training, and work experience.
With care- Debbie
